Do you believe that the Bible comes to us from God or humans? The Apostle Paul tells us that Scripture has been “breath
ed out” by God. If that’s true (and I believe that it is), what does that mean for us?
It means that God has revealed Himself to us in two ways: 1.) through creation and life, as a “general revelation”; 2.) through people that He spoke through and whose message is now recorded in the Bible, or “special revelation.”
If it was just people reflecting on the universe, then our Bible is just a bunch of words from people who died long ago. It should be studied right along with Plato and Shakespeare.
BUT if it is indeed “God-breathed” then it is living, prophetic, and forever relevant to all of us.

I want to encourage you to go to the one and only “God-breathed” source, the Bible. There is timeless wisdom in it that will be available to you not only through the words you read, but the Holy Spirit who will speak through the Bible to you.
*** A Prayer: Lord, thank You for providing me with the Bible. Help me to treat it with the respect that it deserves. Direct me where to read and how to do so. Give me Your Spirit to help me understand it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
