Rest in God’s power and His love for you—for while there is evil in this world, know this: “The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world,” (1 Jn 4:4).
Friends, there are spiritual beings in this world that come from God and those that come from evil. At the end of October the media both trivializes and glorifies evil, but those of us who are God’s children know that this is no joke. There is evil in the world—but thanks be to God, our God is greater!
Can I encourage you, that while the world delights in darkness, spend time in prayer and be ready to shine God’s light through goodness, love, peace, patience, faithfulness, and truth. Amen? Amen!
***A Prayer: Lord, thank You for protecting me from evil. Give me the discernment of spirits and help me to avoid spiritually dark places and people. Fill me with Your Spirit, and let Your light shine through me as goodness, love, peace, patience, faithfulness, and truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
